"Reactivates when baby cries or moves" is a rather misleading comment, sadly!

We found that when our baby screamed directly into the receiver (when the unit was taken out of the bear itself and placed right by her head) it sometimes reactivated.
It didn't pick up the initial grumbles of her becoming unsettled at all, and seemed to ignore all noise when the unit was inside the bear.

The motion sensor is set-off when the BEAR is moved, rather than the baby moving.

It's a shame that there isn't an option to have the heart noises playing continuously, as the sound it makes is undeniably soothing and effective -
My other half and I sleep well when it's on too!

I bought this when our daughter was four months' old following a recommendation from a friend. I wasn't convinced it would work on an older baby but it works miracles. We had been using a dummy to soothe her back to sleep at night but if the dummy fell out, she'd wake and cry. We've replaced it with the slumber bear which is activated by movement or crying and plays soothing womb sounds for five minutes. Unbelievably she falls to sleep and I've had my first full nights sleep since she was born. I can't praise it enough - it should be a compulsory gift to all new parents!
