Freakin' Hilarious November 4, 2008 Mr. Jonathon T. Beckett (Dracula's Crypt) Sleazeball salesman Ricky Coogan(Alex Winter) arrives in the South American country of Santa Flan, accompanied by his friend Ernie(Michael Stoyanov), having been sent there by dodgy company E.E.S to promote the 'totally harmless' Zygrot 24 fertilizer. The two travelling with anti-E.E.S demonstrater Julie(Megan Ward), they stop off to visit Freek Land, a freakshow run by crazed carny showman/mad doctor Elijah C. Skuggs(Randy Quaid), who soon has all three of them strapped to a table and ready to be turned into new freaks for his sideshow. Skuggs uses a secret ingredient in his transformation putty. Yes, you guessed it, its Zygrot 24. Soon Ricky, Ernie and Julie are locked in a shed along with the other freaks that Skuggs has created. This is a hilarious comedy, a spoof of mad doctor movies, that really is a gag a minute stuff. The best bits, well all of it. How can you not like a film that has Mr T as a bearded lady, a pair of gun toting Rastafarian eyeballs and Keanu Reeves(uncredited) as Ortiz the dog boy, probably his greatest ever role. This is one of the funniest films I've ever seen. Don't miss it. 5 out of 5
more people should see this film, it is by far my favourite April 1, 2003 neil (England) 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
the main thing people should know about this film is that it stars Bill and Ted and Death, Keanu Reeves stars as Ortiz the dog boy and he spends the whole film in heavy dog makeup. if that is not enough then how about Mr T as the bearded lady?! Brooke Shields as a talk show host with hideous legs? 13 milkmen (including one in a frogsuit, one as a cow, one as a worm, one as a sock puppet and one which is a hammer) and some of the funniest visual humour you have ever seen involving a ginger troll. oh and it's got the druggy brother of 'Blossom' in it too.
