Just to confirm that this does not fit the latest Vista HCx model.... I've had to send it back for a refund/replacement.
However it is a quality product.... just the description is a little lacking!!

I bought both the dashboard mount and the handlebar mount for my Garmin eTrex Vista HCx. They both come with the same replacement back cover for the GPS which contains the integrated mount clip which clicks into the dashboard mount or the handlebar mount.
Unfortunately the back cover does not accommodate the eTrex memory card and will not fit at all.
This is not pointed out on any of the web sites on which I found the mount advertised.

Unfortunately this doesn't work with eTrex Vista HCX (which is what I have). The HCX has a micro SD card slot underneath the battery cover and hence is a slightly different shape I guess to the CX - so had to return and look for something else.

This unit allows your Garmin to be firmly fixed to your bike.
As far as the memory card eTrex devices goes, I do have a memory card device and, yes, it does work. The ony proviso is that the back supplied with kit will not fit your device, but when you bought the GPS in the first place, there will have been a screw in bracket included.
Basic comment if you have a memory eTrex is: if you still have the mount that came with your GPS, this will work; if you don't, then it will not work.

This is a solid bracket, and easy to slide the GPS in and out.
I've using it with a Garmin eTrex Vista HCX, which came with it's own back and clip, so I only needed this for the handlebar bit, rather than the back that's included.
Found that I needed to make sure my GPS was mounted level, rather than tilted, to make sure that it always knew which direction I was going in.
