Disappointing September 12, 2008 Mr. C. J. Boddington 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Arrived promptly and in good condition. Relatively easy to assemble. But I tend to agree with other reviewers that the highest setting is pretty easy; although it starts out reasonably well, but after 20 or so strokes the resistance drops down to virtually nothing and it's hardly worth carrying on. I'm really tempted to return it and ask for my money back. Certainly not worth 145 - I could get more exercise using an elastic band!Body Sculpture BR2700 Foldable Fan Rower
Disappointing May 26, 2008 Ms Middle (UK) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This machine is not for those at 5ft 5in or less. And it has very little resistance! Instructions are not bad, folding is not that easy - not every day to get it out of the way. But it is so, so weak. Deeply disappointed, I wouldn't recommend it at all.
good for calorie burning only February 4, 2008 Mr. D. M. Cropper 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I agree with other reviewers that the highest resistance level is only 8 whereas in a gym it would be 12 - it gives a relatively light work out therefore. Its main bonus compared to other rowers on the market is that it is genuinely easy to assemble easy to fold up, move and store. Other competitor models are not. Once folded up it takes up remarkably little room. It seems to be designed for people who want to burn calories rather than race for oxford and store it under the stairs.
reasonable January 30, 2008 s lou (uk) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
The review below is correct, the resistance is not fantastic but it is certainly not non existent. If you are only looking for an average workout, then this machine will be fine. If you are more of a pro perhaps it's not the machine for you. The foot strap issue is also correct, but on the foot mountings these straps can be lowered to a lower position which is fine which eliminates the problem, really the factory strap location position is wrong but can be corrected in 60 seconds. It's just not that easy to spot at first! This machine does not give a distance reading, but a stroke tally instead. Other that that it is all good really, and folds away nicely also.
rubbish January 26, 2008 F. Barber 14 out of 16 found this review helpful
this machine arrived promptly and was relatively easy to assemble and does work. However I am currently using it on the highest setting and am not feeling any resistance. It is also very difficult to keep your feet securely fastened to the foot pedals. If you would like a very light workout then this machine is ideal for you. I would also say that if you are over 6ft tall (I am 6'3") then it will be too small for you.
